The breakfast choices were very good, the team member with short blonde hair was great, she was ALWAYS welcoming, helpful, polite, she replenished breakfast items, cleared tables and was very efficient. The breakfast team staff were all efficient. Josh on the front desk was excellent. He was always polite, helpful, professional, great sense of humor and made me feel very welcome. Outstanding customer service. Everyone at the front desk was polite and efficient. The gentleman that handled my check out was polite, helpful, kind and I appreciated him asking how my stay went. Very impressed with the front desk team work. Also the gentleman that handled maintenance regarding my shower inquiry was excellent. Super nice and very helpful.

Given the hotel was the Holiday Inn Express, I thought there might be less options, but there were all the normal cooked breakfast items (which staff restocked regularly) and options for vegan and gluten free on request. My room was a good size, clean and quiet - I asked for a quiet room and my request was granted. The fact that it wasn't at all noisy was great, considering Stockport railway station was right below the property! Being next to the station was excellent, because I was travelling into Manchester and beyond each day, so I could wander down whenever I was ready. The location was also great for taking in a show at the Stockport Plaza.

Great location... step out of the train station and it's right there! Then it's easy to walk into town or travel by rail or bus to Manchester or elsewhere. The room was well equipped ( even an iron and ironing board..) with a movable desk and comfy chair, coffee and tea making facilities. The shower is roomier than in most hotel rooms and the room was very clean. Nice touch also with the different pillows ( soft or firm) . The price was also very competitive to similar in central Manchester and as traveling there takes only a few minutes by train ( which run frequently) it makes it a great alternative place to stay when I want to visit there.

Perfect location, literally opposite the station.it was quiet too. Beautifully clean with lovely friendly staff. The food at breakfast was great. This was a family trip with my 2 parents in their 80s, along with my 20 and 16 year old children. We had a double and a family room. The rooms were just what we wanted. Very clean and well equipped. In walking distance of fast food outlets for peckish teenager and also close to shopping centre for Sunday morning shopping. 5 mins taxi ride on Saturday evening to my oousin's wedding reception, with taxis available just outside the front of the hotel, at the traiin station.

Lorraine

The hotel is new and nice looking. The room was absolutely clean and comfortable. Noise isolation was superb. Breakfast was included. Restaurant is also clean, nice and comfy. Lobby provides spacey and comfy seating groups. An NCP multistory car park and a Sainsbury's express supermarket (open until 11:00 pm) is available just across the hotel. Train station is also next to the hotel. No noise from railway, btw. Stockport high street is very close in case you would like to have a walk. There is also a pub (Bask) right across if you would like to have a night rather than drinking alcohol at the hotel.
